Donovan Guerero is a DJ, beatmaker and producer, and the founder of D34 Empire, the independent label he built in Pointe aux Sables. Active since 2017, he became one of the producers who shaped the new Mauritian urban scene, working with Bigg Frankii, Manna'C, El Passi, Warren Parmel, Denzel, Remiih Wah and Tii Garry.

In 2023 he built something of his own: Ragga Rap, a fusion of ragga, dancehall and old school rap that is now D34 Empire's signature sound. Straight Outta Compton and the N.W.A legacy are the reference, and the ambition matches it: an independent industry, new talent, Mauritian street music heard abroad.

Donovan Guerero did not wait for an industry. He built one.

DJ, beatmaker, producer, and founder of D34 Empire, the independent label he runs out of Pointe aux Sables on the west coast of Mauritius, below Port Louis. The name is the dialling code. So is WestSide230. He has been releasing since 2017 and has never needed anyone's permission.

His first record to travel did not even carry this name. As FLOKY D he cut "So Mi Tic", built on a two-second chop of Capleton saying the phrase the song is named after, and put it out on the Met Sek Riddim in March 2017, and that riddim went on to carry records well beyond his own. Then Déréglé Mentalement with Remiih Wah, "Koko" and "Amstamgram" with Bigg Frankii, "Lagam" with King Kelan, and in 2026 Sirviv with Tii Garry, a record about school and pressure and what a day actually costs. Along the way he has produced for Manna'C, El Passi, Warren Parmel and Denzel.

In 2023 he named the thing he had been making. Ragga Rap: ragga, dancehall and old school rap folded into one, now the artistic signature of D34 Empire. Not a marketing exercise. A genre with a founder.

He works under four names depending on the job. Donovan Guerero on the mic, DJ DONOWAYN behind the desk, FLOKY D where it started, ODŌN for what comes next. The mask, the dollar-sign eyes, the black and white: Straight Outta Compton and the N.W.A legacy, read through a Mauritian street.

Now he joins BAD. D34 Empire keeps building. BAD brings the catalogue, the credit, the paperwork and the reach.
