donovan guerero is a dj, beatmaker and producer, and the founder of d34 empire, the independent label he built in pointe aux sables. active since 2017, he became one of the producers who shaped the new mauritian urban scene, working with bigg frankii, natty gong, manna'c, justice le koq, abel, denzel, remiih wah and tii garry.
in 2023 he named the thing he had been making: ragga rap, a fusion of ragga, dancehall and old school rap, now the artistic signature of d34 empire. straight outta compton and the n.w.a legacy are the reference, and the ambition matches it. build an independent industry, reveal new talent, and get mauritian urban music heard outside the island.
